After receiving the Master Ball from Professor Elm and before meeting the game mascot, each Kimono Girl tests the player with a battle.This allows the player to connect their Nintendo DS to their Nintendo Wii to be able to fight in Pokémon Battle Revolution using their team from the game. These events effectively replace the GS Ball event formerly found in the Japanese version of Pokémon Crystal.

On Route 29, you can snag another Green Apricorn at the tree you saw earlier; by sticking to the dirt road and hopping the ledges, you can avoid wild encounters almost entirely.

I've already gotten five starters, and I traded the Legendaries over to Pearl, so now I'm restarting and going through again.
